I am post this to honor all those that I know
to have served in the Military to say THANKS for what you did for our country and for our families. For the children of those who
served I know you grew up as I did with a special understanding of what
Memorial Day means. I ask that
you make sure your kids and grand kids know what this day means in order that it
is not lost to future generation.
When you pass by a cemetery this weekend and
see all those flags, know that those flags are in honor of veterans and we owe
much to them.
A photo at a parade I recently saw shows an honor guard passing with our countries flag and the only
person standing is a man in the wheel chair… you can bet he is a veteran… Please make sure that he is not the only one standing when you are around. Lets make sure our children and their
children know that Old Glory demands
our attention and respect every time she is raised, lowered and passes in front
of us.
One of
the reason that I love Baseball is at ever game we are taught to stand, face
the Flag, remove our caps, put our hand over our heart and join in the singing
of our National Anthem. How Great Is
That!
GOD
BLESS AMERICA
Please take a few minutes to watch
this and forward to as many as possible, reminding them that this is a very special day in the life of our
Nation.
And please
do not wish me a “Happy Memorial Day!” (It makes me
crazy.) Remind others why we
set this day aside, flags at half-mast until noon.
