Anatomy of a Failing Presidency
Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to China .
But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.
But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable.. What's going on?
No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.
But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience..
In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job. Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."
Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.
Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them. The coyotes howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along.

A letter from a woman in Arizona . She writes an open letter to our nation's leadership:
"I am a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. Instead, we are burdened with Congressional Dukes and Duchesses who think they know better than the citizens they are supposed to represent.
There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now.
You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would feel so horribly disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut-job am I? Well, these briefly are the views and issues for which I seek representation:
One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels.. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution.
P.S., I'm not a racist. This is not to be confused with legal immigration.
Two, the STIMULUS bill. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you No, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.
Three: Czars. I want the circumvention of our constitutional checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution, and honor it.
Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There are many conflicting opinions and it is too soon for this radical legislation. Quit throwing our nation into politically-correct quicksand.
Five, universal health care. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision that will burden me, my children, and grandchildren. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night without even reading it. Slow down! Fix only what is broken -- we have the best health care system in the world -- and test any new program in one or two states first.
Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. More is not better! Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real [Constitutional] obligations. Why don't you start there.
Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes -- how did they pull that one off? Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with any of our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.
Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs -- and that is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person! Why do you want me to hate my employers? And what do you have against shareholders making a profit?
Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.
Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Every company must sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. (Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid?) We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.
Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk.. Please stop trying to manipulate and appease me with clever wording.. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.
Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.
Take a breath. Listen to the people. Slow down and get some input from non politicians and experts on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed-reading our bills into law. I am not an activist.. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent.. I work. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.
I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not.
It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is needless urgency and recklessness in all of your recent spending of our tax dollars.
From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on bringing our concerns to Washington . Our president often knows all the right buzzwords like unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.
We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented.. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work, pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone... and we are now looking at you.
You have awakened us, the patriotic freedom spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office.
We have canceled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us who will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.
Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this.. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution, and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. Better Than Pepper Spray - Self Defense
Wasp Spray
A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was
concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them
when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police
department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that
she get a can of wasp spray instead.
The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is
a lot more accurate, while with the pepper
spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The
wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the
hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office
and it doesn't attract attention from people like a can of pepper
spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection.
Thought this was interesting and might be of use.
On the heels of a break in and beating that left an elderly woman in
Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save
yourlife.
Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at
Sylvania Southview High School. For decades, he's suggested putting a
can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.
Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."
Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than
mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so
if someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says "spray the
culprit in the eyes". It's a tip he's given to students for
decades.
It's also one he wants everyone to hear. If you're looking for
protection, Glinka says look to the spray.
"That's going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get
out."
Maybe even save a life.

Haiti The Real Story
This is from a friend of mine who just got back and his view first hand. This is the 2-3 such report that I have gotten from people that speak only facts.
To All,
I just returned from Haiti with xxxxxxx. We flew in at Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.
Port of Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact.Our team was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble. There are easily 200,000 dead, the city smells like a charnal house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers money. The ones I ran into were either incompetent or outright anti American. Most are French or French speakers, worthless every damn one of them. While 18oo rescuers were ready willing and able to leave the airport and go do our jobs, the UN and USAID (another organization full of little OBamites and communists that openly speak against America ) These two organizations exemplared their parochialism by:
USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper and a host of other left wing news puppies to land.
Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.
Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn't release a drop of it to the rescuers.
No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and decon equipment, as well as air conditioned tents.
No latrine facilities, less digging a hole if you set up a shitter everyone was trying to use it.
I watched a 25 year old Obamite with the USAID shrieking hysterically, berate a full bird colonel in the air force, because he countermanded her orders, whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern. " You don't know what your president wants! The military isn't in charge here we are!"
If any of you are thinking of giving money to the Haitian relief, or to the UN don't waste your money. It will only go to further the goals of the French and the Liberal left.

I just returned from Haiti with xxxxxxx. We flew in at Sunday to the scene of such incredible destruction on one side, and enormous ineptitude and criminal neglect on the other.
Port of Prince is in ruins. The rest of the country is fairly intact.Our team was a rescue team and we carried special equipment that locates people buried under the rubble. There are easily 200,000 dead, the city smells like a charnal house. The bloody UN was there for 5 years doing apparently nothing but wasting US Taxpayers money. The ones I ran into were either incompetent or outright anti American. Most are French or French speakers, worthless every damn one of them. While 18oo rescuers were ready willing and able to leave the airport and go do our jobs, the UN and USAID (another organization full of little OBamites and communists that openly speak against America ) These two organizations exemplared their parochialism by:
USAID, when in control of all inbound flights, had food and water flights stacked up all the way to Miami, yet allowed Geraldo Rivera, Anderson Cooper and a host of other left wing news puppies to land.
Pulled all the security off the rescue teams so that Bill Clinton and his wife could have the grand tour, whilst we sat unable to get to people trapped in the rubble.
Stacked enough food and water for the relief over at the side of the airfield then put a guard on it while we dehydrated and wouldn't release a drop of it to the rescuers.
No shower facilities to decontaminate after digging or moving corpses all day, except for the FEMA teams who brought their own shower and decon equipment, as well as air conditioned tents.
No latrine facilities, less digging a hole if you set up a shitter everyone was trying to use it.
I watched a 25 year old Obamite with the USAID shrieking hysterically, berate a full bird colonel in the air force, because he countermanded her orders, whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern. " You don't know what your president wants! The military isn't in charge here we are!"
If any of you are thinking of giving money to the Haitian relief, or to the UN don't waste your money. It will only go to further the goals of the French and the Liberal left.

Where Did It Go Wrong
I do not suggest that we should be at this level but for sure we the people trusted the folks we sent to DC and that was a mistake. The people to day are not like the honest, trustworthy, public servants of years gone by. Now we know we can not trust them, they are thieves and must have mussels on them. Think about that when you go to vote. We have to change things back and that will take time. No one should be sent to any office as a job or career... That was never the intention but we have trusted them, sit back and not taken action and now look what we have. It is in fact a den of thieves who have self interests at heart and not the interest of the people and country. Throw them all out and lets put folks in with the understanding that they will be held accountable.

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 42 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.
The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri. His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.
When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."
As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale. (sic. Illinois)

I guess Jack Cafferty has stopped feeling the Hope and Change, huh? Via the Anchoress and Instapundit, we have Cafferty blowing his stack at Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and just about every Democrat in Congress over the decision to put a bill together in secret — er, excuse me, replace a conference committee with “informal negotiations.” In fact, Cafferty accuses Obama of telling lies “just to get elected,” which seems somehow like a watershed moment in media coverage from CNN, at least:
How dare they? President Obama, Democratic leaders have decided to bypass a formal House and Senate conference committee in order to reconcile those two health care bills. Instead, White House and Democratic leaders will hold informal — that’s another word for secret — negotiations, meant to shut Republicans and the public out of the process.
What a far cry from the election, when then candidate Obama pledged to — quote — “broadcast health care negotiations on C-SPAN, so that the American people can see what the choices are” — unquote.
President Obama hasn’t even made a token effort to keep his campaign promises of more openness and transparency in government. It was all just another lie that was told in order to get elected. The head of C-SPAN wrote a letter, asked Congress to — quote — “open all the important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings, to electronic media coverage” — unquote. When White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked whether the administration would support televising the negotiations, he refused to answer, instead mumbling something about, well, I haven’t seen the letter.
That wasn’t the question, Mr. Gibbs. You either support openness or you don’t. The Democrats insist this is all on the up-and-up, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying — quote — “There’s never been a more open process for any legislation.” — unquote.
Really? This is the same Nancy Pelosi who you may recall, after becoming speaker in 2006, promised the Democrats would have — quote — “the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history” — unquote.
Here’s hoping the voters remember some of this crap when the midterm elections roll around later this year.

Via the Anchoress and Instapundit, we have Cafferty blowing his stack at Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and just about every Democrat in Congress over the decision to put a bill together in secret — er, excuse me, replace a conference committee with “informal negotiations.” In fact, Cafferty accuses Obama of telling lies “just to get elected,” which seems somehow like a watershed moment in media coverage from CNN, at least:
How dare they? President Obama, Democratic leaders have decided to bypass a formal House and Senate conference committee in order to reconcile those two health care bills. Instead, White House and Democratic leaders will hold informal — that’s another word for secret — negotiations, meant to shut Republicans and the public out of the process.
What a far cry from the election, when then candidate Obama pledged to — quote — “broadcast health care negotiations on C-SPAN, so that the American people can see what the choices are” — unquote.
President Obama hasn’t even made a token effort to keep his campaign promises of more openness and transparency in government. It was all just another lie that was told in order to get elected. The head of C-SPAN wrote a letter, asked Congress to — quote — “open all the important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings, to electronic media coverage” — unquote. When White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked whether the administration would support televising the negotiations, he refused to answer, instead mumbling something about, well, I haven’t seen the letter.
That wasn’t the question, Mr. Gibbs. You either support openness or you don’t. The Democrats insist this is all on the up-and-up, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying — quote — “There’s never been a more open process for any legislation.” — unquote.
Really? This is the same Nancy Pelosi who you may recall, after becoming speaker in 2006, promised the Democrats would have — quote — “the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history” — unquote.
Here’s hoping the voters remember some of this crap when the midterm elections roll around later this year.

Please remember many of the Muslim leaders were educated right here in the USA, we sent and in many cases paid for their education. They know how we think, act and live. They know are weaknesses and our strengths all of which play into their plans. Why do they focus on the prisons as their key recruiting grounds? Black, radical, hopeless, hate the American system and those who want to have power are their prime candidates. The same population that we have poured trillions of USE $ into welfare entitlement programs for the past 50 years. Where are we today... still pumping a few trillion into social programs that encourage people to have children out of wedlock, not work, and in a heart beat will rob each other for drug and other needs.
Is it too late to change.. Not if we want to survive long term. There is no way the US can continue in this direction. For what ever reason we are now allowing our government to ramp up the failed programs as if something magical will happen if we double the amount we are spending on entitlement programs... They just do not work.
Our current system of handouts does not give people pride, hope or initiative. We encourage and incentive's people to sit on the butts and wait for the government check to come. Need more money have a couple more kids out of wedlock and we raise their entitlement level... more money, more food stamps, larger housing supplement..You see it just does work
While on the other side those black and white who do work hard to be stand alone are taxed more and more and begin to ask why should I work when I can get it for nothing...
Does this sound like what America was founded on. Yes there are people who need help but that is not what we are talking about here. We have allowed millions of immigrants both legal and illegal to enter the US to do jobs that have to be done.
Yes they are the lower paying job but hey that is life...Everyone can not live at the same level... Sorry that is not true they can .. but it will mean everyone lives at a very low level except for the elite who dole out the program money... We are headed in that direction today which is totally reverse of what got America to where we are.... Time to go back to the basics.

you for the opportunity to speak to you on the issue of “Prison
Radicalization.”
The subject of “Prison Radicalization” reaches far beyond the walls of the
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), county
jails and juvenile facilities throughout the State of California. It has local,
national and international implications. The effort to impact “homegrown”
terrorism in prisons, jails and society is a monumental task which requires
the cooperation of local, state and federal agencies and the community at
large. My testimony will focus on the local gang culture and it’s effects on
the Los Angeles County Jail regarding radicalization and our Department’s
cooperation with federal, state and local agencies to share information
thereby preventing, disrupting or mitigating a terrorist attack.
Within our custody operations division, our gang intelligence unit,
Operation Safe Jails (OSJ), which originated in 1985, analyzes gang

trends, conduct gang interviews, classifies and maintains gang files in an
ongoing effort to prevent attacks on both staff and our inmate population.
Over the years OSJ has evolved into an extremely critical asset for unit
commanders and executives throughout the Department. OSJ’s primary
responsibility is gang intelligence. In addition, the unit assists local, state
and federal agencies with ongoing investigations. In an effort to improve
communications, a sergeant attends briefings and meetings with the Los
Angeles area Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), Terrorism Early Warning
group (TEW), the Joint Regional Information Center (JRIC), the California
Department of Corrections Gang Task Force and other regional gang
meetings. These relationships have resulted in high quality products that
are provided to decision makers covering a variety of terror-related
subjects.
With an average daily population of 19,000 plus inmates, the Los Angeles
County jail system is seen as a possible location where prison
radicalization can sew it roots. Since late 1995, several OSJ gang
intelligence deputies were designated Terrorism Liaison Officers (TLO’s)
who report on radical activities to the Department’s Terrorism Early
Warning group. This has expanded to other local state and federal

agencies. Their activities were heightened by the July, 2005, discovery of
the radical prison group, Jam’iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Sheeh (JIS) or the
“Authentic Assembly of Islam,” at Folsom State Prison, near Sacramento,
California. Since then, analysis shows that radicalization and recruitment
in U.S. prisons is still an ongoing concern. Prison radicalization primarily
occurs through anti-U.S. sermons provided by contract, volunteer’s, staff
imams, radicalized inmates who gain religious influence, or extremist
media. Ideologies that radicalized inmates appear most often to embrace,
include or are influenced by the Salafi form of Sunni Islam (including
revisionist versions commonly known as “prison Islam”) and an extremist
view of Shia Islam similar to that of the government of Iran and Lebanese
Hizballah.

American organizations have been working on various ways of supporting
and participating in the security needs of America, as well as people of all
nations. Sheriff Leroy D. Baca, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department, has taken the lead to formalize this endeavor by forming a
national organization known as the Muslim-American Homeland Security
Congress (MAHSC). This is a non-political, non-governmental, nonreligious,
and non-profit organization. Through partnerships, cooperation
and assistance with national and local elected officials, law enforcement,
civic and inter-faith groups, the Muslim-American Homeland Security

Congress will educate, reach out to the disenfranchised, and communicate
to all Americans the goals and purpose of the organization.
MISSION
The Muslim-American Homeland Security Congress shall foster education
& understanding, organization & empowerment, along with Communication
& Cooperation with the American public to protect and defend the United
States of America and all people through the prevention of terrorism and
any acts of prejudice.
Operation Safe Jails gang intelligence deputies are continuously monitoring
our inmate population for radical activity. The Imams who conduct religious
service go through a thorough background check and their teachings are
not associated with the radicalized form of Islam. Inmates who attempt to
spread radical Islam are monitored and reported to the appropriate
agencies. We have identified several inmates who had radical
correspondence, drawings of airplanes flying into the World Trade Center,
e-mail addresses to radical websites, and in one disturbing instance, we
interviewed a foreign national who provided information regarding a safe
house radical mosque where large sums of U.S. Currency is counted and
forwarded to a Middle Eastern country for dissemination. There is no doubt
that “Prison Radicalization,” is an ongoing problem. We all need to
continue our focus on this growing phenomena and add additional
resources to combat this growing trend or run the risk of another similar
situation such as the JIS incident which occurred at Folsom State Prison in
July, 2005.

Over the years OSJ has evolved into an extremely critical asset for unit
commanders and executives throughout the Department. OSJ’s primary
responsibility is gang intelligence.
In addition, the unit assists local, state
and federal agencies with ongoing investigations. In an effort to improve
communications, a sergeant attends briefings and meetings with the Los
Angeles area Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), Terrorism Early Warning
group (TEW), the Joint Regional Information Center (JRIC), the California
Department of Corrections Gang Task Force and other regional gang
meetings. These relationships have resulted in high quality products that
are provided to decision makers covering a variety of terror-related
subjects.
With an average daily population of 19,000 plus inmates, the Los Angeles
County jail system is seen as a possible location where prison
radicalization can sew it roots. Since late 1995, several OSJ gang
intelligence deputies were designated Terrorism Liaison Officers (TLO’s)
who report on radical activities to the Department’s Terrorism Early
Warning group. This has expanded to other local state and federal agencies.
Their activities were heightened by the July, 2005, discovery of
the radical prison group, Jam’iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Sheeh (JIS) or the
“Authentic Assembly of Islam,” at Folsom State Prison, near Sacramento,
California. Since then, analysis shows that radicalization and recruitment
in U.S. prisons is still an ongoing concern. Prison radicalization primarily
occurs through anti-U.S. sermons provided by contract, volunteer’s, staff
imams, radicalized inmates who gain religious influence, or extremist
media.
Ideologies that radicalized inmates appear most often to embrace,
include or are influenced by the Salafi form of Sunni Islam (including
revisionist versions commonly known as “prison Islam”) and an extremist
view of Shia Islam similar to that of the government of Iran and Lebanese
Hizballah.

The effort to impact radicalization and “homegrown” terrorism in
mainstream society is an inherently difficult task, especially without the
cooperation and partnership of the local Muslim community.
Muslim-American organizations have been working on various ways of supporting
and participating in the security needs of America, as well as people of all
nations. Sheriff Leroy D. Baca, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Department, has taken the lead to formalize this endeavor by forming a
national organization known as the Muslim-American Homeland Security
Congress (MAHSC).
This is a non-political, non-governmental, nonreligious,and non-profit organization. Through partnerships, cooperation and assistance with national and local elected officials, law enforcement, civic and inter-faith groups, the Muslim-American Homeland Security Congress will educate, reach out to the disenfranchised, and communicate to all Americans the goals and purpose of the organization.

The Muslim-American Homeland Security Congress shall foster education
& understanding, organization & empowerment, along with Communication
& Cooperation with the American public to protect and defend the United
States of America and all people through the prevention of terrorism and
any acts of prejudice.
Operation Safe Jails gang intelligence deputies are continuously monitoring
our inmate population for radical activity. The Imams who conduct religious
service go through a thorough background check and their teachings are
not associated with the radicalized form of Islam. Inmates who attempt to
spread radical Islam are monitored and reported to the appropriate
agencies.
We have identified several inmates who had radical
correspondence, drawings of airplanes flying into the World Trade Center,
e-mail addresses to radical websites, and in one disturbing instance, we
interviewed a foreign national who provided information regarding a safe
house radical mosque where large sums of U.S. Currency is counted and
forwarded to a Middle Eastern country for dissemination.
There is no doubt that “Prison Radicalization,” is an ongoing problem. We all need to
continue our focus on this growing phenomena and add additional resources to combat this growing trend or run the risk of another similar situation such as the JIS incident which occurred at Folsom State Prison in July, 2005.

The prison service has no strategy to tackle al-Qaida operatives radicalising and recruiting young African-Caribbean and other ethnic minority prisoners in British jails, according to prison officers.
Britain now houses more suspected terrorist prisoners - the number is in the high hundreds - than any other European country, with many housed on normal wings alongside ordinary offenders.
The Prison Officers' Association says some of these terrorist prisoners are targeting for radicalisation and recruitment other alienated ethnic minority groups, as well as the smaller number of younger Muslim prisoners, and they are providing "rich pickings". Many of those held, whom they describe as "dangerous and highly capable", are "high up" in groups using the al-Qaida name and their lives have been dedicated to radicalising younger and more vulnerable people.
But senior prison managers have admitted in official correspondence that despite being aware of the problem they are waiting for a recently formed extremist prisoner working group to report before they do anything about it.
The POA has warned the government that urgent steps need to be taken to prevent the more dangerous suspected terrorist prisoners engaging in criminal integration and collusion, as well as their adoption of new radicalising and recruitment techniques.

"Prison staff are very good at intelligence-led surveillance but it is difficult gathering intelligence listening to people who are having conversations in languages you don't understand. There are now many high-profile terrorist prisoners locked up on normal location, on normal wings with any other prisoner instead of in special environments."

It Is Just A Matter Of Time
I think this man is so right on, that it is scary. Just remember what we have seen already. We have some 2-3 million Islamic believers living in our country today. Many of them converted from other religions to Muslim beliefs for a variety of reasons. Many were hard core criminals in prison.
Most may in fact be very peace loving but if we simply look at other countries and say conservatively 5% trend toward the radical views. I mean really believe that the only sure way to sit with Allah is to kill non believers and give their own life in that effort. What is that 100,000 or so who might be willing to take the trip and see if the virgins are waiting on them on the other side.
With that in mind just look around at our society, our daily movement and see just how easy it would be to kill a few hundred or even a thousand or so folks. Yes other countries are better trained but why… because it has happened to them often in the past few years and they have figured it out. There are fanatics out there and they will do it.
I mean we have theme in the army, kills what 13-15 whatever the number. Heck he was even openly expressing his views, talking to Yemen activitsts and our system promoted him up through the ranks…. WOW. Now we are reluctant to even call him a terrorist, we want to called him misled, mentally unstable… Hey would you not say that anyone who is willing to kill them self and as many others as they can in the name of Allah mentally deranged. But this is where we are sticking our heads in the sand. This is what these people believe, it is their religion, it is their destiny…. We do not understand it and that is the advantage they have over us.
We see what they do, we hear what they say but we say to ourselves, "how can anyone really do that." Well, it is happening every day. In the past few weeks. One, in the name of Allah killed a bunch of soldiers, One tried to blow up him self and kill a plane load of people, One shot up a recruiting office in AK each of them had talks with a radical cleric for guidance and direction, each was a devout muslim and each was willing to die to his efforts and what are we doing... asking 70 year of grandmothers to allowed themselves to be patted down, take off your shoes and for sure do not take a bottle of water through security while a darked skined radial whose dad came to us and warned us that his son was going to do just what he did and we knew he was on the plane bound for USA... and did nada.
Yet as this man below says we are pulling off our shoes and taking away water bottles at the airport…. It is a joke really. We will get the message but unfortunately it will be way too late for those involved, it will take another wake up action by them. We are spoiled but the sad part is we our lives have changed and we keep falling asleep. 911 was the wakeup alarm, but we are now complacent and that will be costly
AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ FOR EVERY AMERICAN!
Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ' Munich ' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard -- she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.
In a lecture in New York City a few weeks ago, he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.
He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O'Reilly laughed and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. But, unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.
Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East ) to the Bush Administration about 9/11 a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.
Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.
Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.
For example:
1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.
2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked! Every strategy we have is reactionary.
3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.
Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel , security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.
Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (i. e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as rural America this time (Wyoming, Montana, etc.).
The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.
Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away.
Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S. government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts.. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.
On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.
He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown' -- having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U. S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East . These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.
Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terrorist threats we will, inevitably, face. America still has only a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.
So, what can America do to protect itself? From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel 's, Ireland 's and England 's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U. S. government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.
Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago , someone tried to steal the briefcase!
In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves.
But, unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.
Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about our schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!)
He stresses the importance of having a plan, that's agreed upon within your family, to respond to in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools, too, develop plans of actions, as they do in Israel .
Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.
Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan that, in the event of another terrorist attack, will immediately cut-off EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.
How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak? You need to have a plan.
If you believe what you have just read, then you must feel compelled to send to every concerned parent or guardian, grandparents, uncles, aunts, whatever and whomever. Nothing will happen if you choose not to do so, but in the event it does happen, this particular email will haunt you..."I should have sent this to..... But, unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.
Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about our schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City , this was days, in some cases!)
He stresses the importance of having a plan, that's agreed upon within your family, to respond to in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools, too, develop plans of actions, as they do in Israel .
Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.
Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan that, in the event of another terrorist attack, will immediately cut-off EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.
How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak? You need to have a plan.
If you believe what you have just read, then you must feel compelled to send to every concerned parent or guardian, grandparents, uncles, aunts, whatever and whomever. Nothing will happen if you choose not to do so, but in the event it does happen, this particular email will haunt you..."I should have sent this to..... ", but I didn't believe it and just deleted it !!

Thinking about these and other statements made by the man who wears the
title of president, I keep wondering what country he believes he's president
of.
In one of my very favorite stories, Edward Everett Hale's "The Man without
a Country," a young Army lieutenant named Philip Nolan stands condemned
for treason during the Revolutionary War, having come under the influence of
Aaron Burr. When the judge asks him if he wishes to say anything before
sentence is passed, young Nolan defiantly exclaims, "Damn the United States !
I wish I might never hear of the United States again!"
The stunned silence in the courtroom is palpable, pulsing. After a long
pause, the judge soberly says to the angry lieutenant: "You have just
pronounced your own sentence. You will never hear of the United States again.
I sentence you to spend the rest of your life at sea, on one or another of
this country's naval vessels - under strict orders that no one will ever
speak to you again about the country you have just cursed."
And so it was. Philip Nolan was taken away and spent the next 40 years at
sea, never hearing anything but an occasional slip of the tongue about
America . The last few pages of the story, recounting Nolan's dying hours in
his small stateroom - now turned into a shrine to the country he foreswore -
never fail to bring me to tears. And I find my own love for this dream,
this miracle called America , refreshed and renewed.. I know how blessed and
unique we are.
But reading and hearing the audacious, shocking statements of the man who
was recently elected our president - a young black man living the
impossible dream of millions of young Americans, past and present, black and white -
I want to ask him, "Just what country do you think you're president of?"
You surely can't be referring to the United States of America , can you?
America is emphatically a Christian nation, and has been from its inception!
Seventy percent of her citizens identify themselves as Christian. The
Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were framed, written and
ratified by Christians. It's because this was, and is, a nation built on and
guided by Judeo-Christian biblical principles that you, sir, have had the
inestimable privilege of being elected her president.
You studied law at Harvard, didn't you, sir? You taught constitutional
law in Chicago ? Did you not ever read the statement of John Jay, the first
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and an author of the landmark "Federalist
Papers": " Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers -
and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian
nation - to select and prefer Christians for their rulers"?
In your studies, you surely must have read the decision of the Supreme
Court in 1892: "Our lives and our institutions must necessarily be based upon
and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible
that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our
civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.."
Did your professors have you skip over all the high-court decisions right
up till the mid 1900's that echoed and reinforced these views and
intentions? Did you pick up the history of American jurisprudence only in 1947,
when for the first time a phrase coined by Thomas Jefferson about a "wall of
separation between church and state" was used to deny some specific
religious expression - contrary to Jefferson ' s intent with that statement?
Or, wait a minute. were your ideas about America 's Christianity formed
during the 20 years you were a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ
under your pastor, Jeremiah Wright? Is that where you got the idea that "
America is no longer a Christian nation"? Is this where you, even as you
came to call yourself a Christian, formed the belief that " America has been
arrogant"?
Even if that's the understandable explanation of your damning of your
country and accusing the whole nation (not just a few military officials trying
their best to keep more Americans from being murdered by jihadists) of
"not always living up to her ideals," how did you come up with the ridiculous,
alarming notion that we might be "considered a Muslim nation"?
Is it because there are some 2 million or more Muslims living here, trying
to be good Americans? Out of a current population of over 300 million, 70
percent of whom are Christians? Does that make us, by any rational definition, a "Muslim nation"?
Why are we not, then, a "Chinese nation"? A "Korean nation"? Even a
"Vietnamese nation"? There are even more of these distinct groups in America
than Muslims. And if the distinction you're trying to make is a religious
one, why is America not "a Jewish nation"? There's actually a case to be
made for the latter, because our Constitution - and the success of our
Revolution and founding - owe a deep debt to our Jewish brothers.
Have you stopped to think what an actual Muslim America would be like?
Have you ever really spent much time in Iran ? Even in Egypt ? You, having
been instructed in Islam as a kid at a Muslim school in Indonesia and saying
you still love the call to evening prayers, can surely picture our nation
founded on the Quran, not the Judeo-Christian Bible, and living under
Shariah law. Can't you? You do recall Muhammad's directives [Surah 9:5,73] to
"break the cross" and "kill the infidel"?
It seems increasingly and painfully obvious that you are more influenced
by your upbringing and questionable education than most suspected. If you
consider yourself the president of a people who are "no longer Christian,"
who have "failed to live up to our ideals," who "have been arrogant," and
might even be "considered Muslim" - you are president of a country most
Americans don't recognize.

Truth Hurts -
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Careful What We Ask For
The polls [1] have been clear for quite some time: By a substantial margin, Americans oppose the efforts of Barack Obama [2] and Congressional Democrats to enact a massive overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system, one that would greatly expand the federal government’s role [3].
Significantly, the President’s deeply held positions on healthcare were derived largely from the influence of a politically aggressive group of longtime Marxists whose worldviews were consistent with those Obama had already developed from other radical influences in his life. But before we examine who those particular Marxists were, let us establish, with certainty, what Obama’s long-term objectives for healthcare actually are.
As an Illinois state senator in 2003, Obama unambiguously told an AFL-CIO conference:
“I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal healthcare [4] [plan]…. That’s what I’d like to see.”
In a single-payer system, a government-run organization [5] would manage the healthcare of every man, woman, and child in the United States —collecting all related fees and paying out all related costs.
At an SEIU [6] Health Care Forum on March 24, 2007, Obama sang the same tune [4]—though this time he conceded that the attainment of his ultimate vision might require a gradual, incremental approach:
“There’s going to be, potentially, some transition process. I can envision a decade out, or 15 years out, or 20 years out…”
In the summer of 2008, when a campaign audience member asked him to comment [7] on single-payer healthcare, Obama candidly replied:
“If I were designing a system from scratch, I would probably go ahead with a single-payer system.”
Earlier this year, however, the President—recognizing the American public’s opposition to such a system, as reflected in every reputable opinion poll—made a calculated political move to withdraw the single-payer option from the bargaining table. In its stead, he argued in favor of a so-called “public option [8],” where a government plan would be set up to “compete” with private insurers—and would undoubtedly drive many of those insurers out of business [8]. In an effort to assuage people’s fear that he was seeking to transform the world’s finest healthcare system into a government-run reflection of his own socialist ideals, Obama said this on June 15:
“What are not legitimate concerns are those being put forward claiming a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system.… So, when you hear the nay-sayers claim that I’m trying to bring about government-run health care, know this—they are not telling the truth.”
But in light of his earlier quotes, this was less than candid. Obama’s pre-opinion poll position on the matter of single-payer healthcare was clear and unwavering. His more recent departure from that position is perfectly consistent with the tactics advocated by his political guru, the late Saul Alinsky [9], who counseled revolutionaries to conceal their real motives; to say and do whatever is necessary to allay the fears and suspicions of the middle class; and to pursue incremental change where overnight transformation is not possible—knowing they can always agitate for additional change at some point in the future.
Notwithstanding his concession to political practicality, it is clear that the ultimate objective of President Obama’s self-identified quest to “fundamentally transform the United States of America [10],” is to move the nation as far as possible, albeit incrementally, toward a single-payer system. How did Obama come to embrace the single-payer ideal as the best of all possible options? Thanks to some extraordinary research by Trevor Loudon [11] and Brenda J. Elliott [12], among others, we know the answer.
The primary figure who delivered Obama to the single-payer camp was Quentin Young, an 86-year-old retired physician who was a longtime friend and neighbor of Obama in Chicago . Young joined [11] the Young Communist League [13] as a teenager in the late 1930s. From the mid-1940s through the mid-1970s, he was closely associated with the Communist Party. In October 1968 he was called to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee, which was probing the extent of his knowledge about the riots that had erupted at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago two months earlier. The Committee accused Young of belonging to the Bethune Club, an organization for communist doctors; the group was named after Norman Bethune, a communist physician who devoted his services to the totalitarian regime of Mao Zedong [14].
Dr. Young was active in the radical movements of the Sixties and Seventies and led [11] a small delegation to Communist North Vietnam in 1972. In the late 1970s, Young became associated [11] with a Marxist organization known as the New American Movement, which was initially convened by Michael Lerner [15], an America-hating radical who counseled young people to explore the use of LSD and other hallucinogenic drugs as portals to a greater comprehension of socialist principles.
In 1980 Young founded the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group, a single-payer lobby group [16] whose Board of Directors he chairs to this day. In 1982 Young helped establish the Democratic Socialists of America [17], which, as the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International, asserts [18] that “many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed.” In 1987 Young co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP), a single-payer advocacy organization where he currently serves as national coordinator. In PNHP’s view, government-run healthcare “should be financed by truly progressive taxation [19].”
In 1995 Young attended [11] the now-famous meeting at the Hyde Park home of former Weather Underground [20] terrorists Bill Ayers [21] and Bernardine Dohrn [22], where Barack Obama was first introduced to influential locals as the hand-picked successor to Alice Palmer [23], a pro-Soviet radical who planned to vacate her Illinois State Senate seat in pursuit of a higher elected office. Young quickly became a friend and political ally of Obama, teaching [24] the latter about the merits of single-payer healthcare. In a 2009 interview [25] with Amy Goodman [26] of Democracy Now! [27], Young reminisced about the germination of his ideological kinship with the young Obama:
“Barack Obama, in those early days [as a state senator]—influenced, I hope, by me and others—categorically said single payer was the best way, and he would inaugurate it if he could get the support, meaning [Democratic] majorities in both houses, which he’s got, and the presidency, which he’s got. And he said that on more than one occasion….”
Another noteworthy influence on Obama’s views vis à vis healthcare has been Dr. Peter Orris, who co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program with Quentin Young. The son of a Communist Party member, Orris in the 1960s was a leader of Harvard University ’s campus chapter of Students for a Democratic Society [28], the New Leftist organization that aspired to overthrow America ’s democratic institutions and remake the nation’s government in a Marxist image. He later joined the Communist Party (CP) for more than two decades, before ultimately shifting his allegiance to the CP splinter group, Committees of Correspondence, where he remains a prominent figure to this day.
Other leading PNHP activists (and thus, key shapers of President Obama’s healthcare agendas) include the following [11]:
• Joanne Landy, a high-ranking member of the Democratic Socialists of America
• Mark Almberg, a prominent member of the Illinois Communist Party since the 1970s
• Oliver Fein (PNHP President) and Steffi Woolhandler (PNHP Secretary), both of whom have spoken in favor of a single-payer healthcare system at the annual Socialist Scholars Conferences [29] in New York City
The Communist influences on President Obama’s healthcare objectives do not end with the foregoing list of PNHP leaders.
In 2004, PNHP collaborated with a number of likeminded, far-left organizations to form a wider coalition, Healthcare-NOW!, which likewise promotes single-payer reform (and, notably, enjoys the strong support [30] of the Socialist Party USA). Obama’s friend and mentor, Quentin Young, is a central figure in Healthcare-NOW!, serving as the network’s national coordinator and co-chair [31]. Other prominent members of Healthcare-NOW!’s Board of Directors
[31]—who, like their counterparts at PNHP, exert a major influence on President Obama—include [11]:
• Medea Benjamin [32], the pro-Castro [33], America-hating co-founder of Global Exchange [34], Code Pink for Peace [35], and Iraq Occupation Watch [36]
• Michael Lighty, a longtime member (and former chairman) [31] of the Democratic Socialists of America
• Flavio Casoy, a San Francisco-based doctor and a prominent member of the Communist Party USA
• Rev. Lucius Walker [37], the pro-Castro executive director of the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization [38], and a longtime supporter of Communist Party USA activities [31] Barack Obama did not conceive of socialized medicine on his own. His acceptance of such a system was cultivated and nurtured by the same types of Marxist revolutionaries with whom he has surrounded himself throughout his entire adult life – and who are now shaping the major policy agendas of his administration.

The son of a Communist Party member, Orris in the 1960s was a leader of Harvard University ’s campus chapter of Students for a Democratic Society [28], the New Leftist organization that aspired to overthrow America ’s democratic institutions and remake the nation’s government in a Marxist image. He later joined the Communist Party (CP) for more than two decades, before ultimately shifting his allegiance to the CP splinter group, Committees of Correspondence, where he remains a prominent figure to this day.

We Have To Stop What Is Going On
Some things just have to be relearned but what has changed … We now have about 30 % of our population that depend on the government for their lively hood:
Take the number of Federal employees 6-8 million ??
Most State employees 15-20 million ??
Take those who get welfare, child support, food stamps, housing allowances,
medical coverage, now all the GM and Chrysler workers ( labor unions in
general ) about a million people who are in college on grants and aid
packages that have no intention of getting a real job but simply ride the
bus until the funds stop. 6-7 million
Add to that all the illegal immigrants in the country what is that 3-4
million ???
Add to that those who have no clue how things happen, how the system
sustains, hug tree, thing the global warming is real, save the seals ands
whales and protect the blind rat in a cave in who cares where a million
or two of these folks
Couple that with a group like ACORN who stuff ballot boxes in large cities,
trust me there we a few million votes cast in 2008 by a few thousand
actual people. Remember in big cities all you had to do to vote early
was give them a name and an address,If that name and address checked out
on the computer the person was allowed to vote. No I D was required.
Want to know why ACORN paid workers to register people and it did not
matter who or where they were. Just get them registered and turn in the
list of you get paid and come election day guess who voted for each of
those names….
Thats right a new crew of ACORMN staff was sent out, actually driven
from polling place to polling place given a name and address and told to
go in a vote and then on to the next place, come back tomorrow and repeat
the process for early voting.
A few law suits have been filed but most just get kicked out by liberal judges or intimidation at the local level stop them.
If we do not stand up quickly it really will not matter for our kids and their kids. All our forefathers and us have worked for will be history. It has already happened in Europe because things were going so well no one was watching the store until the thieves had taken everything from the selves and no one was restocking them. Talk to some folks in the UK, France, Germany they will tell you that in less than 20 years they are history. There will be more muslims in them than natives. Do not forget the average muslim family has 6-8 kids while we are having less than 2. Run the numbers, they are shocking at how fast they grow. Even in the US in 40 years if we do not stop the flow into our country we could easily have 30,000,000 +… But no one is taking a look at that far out we as a people only look at now. The muslim people are in no hurry, hell they have been waiting for a few thousand years what is another 100 years and they know it, they say it. We just are not listening or maybe we just do not want to hear it. We are a now people and we are about to become a use to be people, not in my or your life time but on our current trend we are headed exactly where Europe was 5o years ago.
Here is a fact... in 2010 based on numbers given out by US immigrations we will allow approx 1,050,000 immigrants into the US through normal channels that does not count all those who come in illegally. A hugh number of those 1,050 Mil are from muslim nations. Go figure... why do we have this death wish on our country???
While I am on the box...I can tell you for a fact that there are thousands of people who have found a way to get federal funds for college who have no intention of completing anything, paying anything back; just keep the dollars coming and they will stay in school forever. The know how the system works and it you work it right you never have to work.
Hey why not… We have instilled in them that there is money available all they have to do is apply… Have 4-5 kids we pay them as long as they are not married of course… now how about that for an incentive.
Need a place to live no problem just do not get married and do not get a job free housing, Feed food just sign up for food stamps, remember the more kids you have the more food stamps you get and by the way you do not have to feed your kids just send them to school and there will get free breakfast and lunch.
Use you food stamps for more meaningful needs like lottery tickets, drugs, smokes, gambling etc.
Americans do not want to believe this is what is going on but it is and has been for waay too many years… Want to know why large, minority areas all vote for the Democratic party… they know where the honey pot gets refilled from.
We have created an entire entitlement culture in this country.
I am from state that reeks of it. We have given the state of LA since Katrina enough money that every person was was within a 150 miles of the storm could each have had $500,000 per family and now we are sending them another pile to dole out. Stop it !!!! I know people who got huge sums of money from the N O disaster moved to the middle of the state bought 25-30 acres, built nice houses and have a 0% interest loan which they may or not ever have to pay back. Not a bad deal as long as you and I are willing to pay for it. And it is still going on today with other
deal the Feds are still making. Have a house that you can't afford, how about we revalue the loan to say $ 100,000 and give you a 2% load. Never mind that the house was valued at $ 400,000 3 years ago and the government back their initial loan through good ol FANNIE MAY OR FREDDIE MAC or what ever... Don't default on the loan the government will simply eat the orginal loan and now give you another one for 25% of the orginial house value. What a crock when you and I had to save and scrape together our down payment as a first time buyer to get our family into our first home.
It is not their fault for taking it, it is our fault for allowing it to happen.
Washington has been out of control for the past 10 years and now they are like drug addicts, it seems they feed on how much money they can spend. Our tax dollars that we work hard for and we just seem to say well that's Washington. Now is the time we have to stand up... Everything that Washington runs in bankrupt, over budget, poorly managed, and without proper control. Name me one that is not... US Postal,
Medicare, Social Security, Energy Department, All the Homeland security is a joke.
It is broke and all they know how to do is throw more money at it. I heard today..
Well we can fix security at the airports but it will cost more... Horse crap... When someone walks in and says my son is a terrorist, just came back from Yemen and is talking about Jihad, I means walks into our Embassy and tells us and we let him get on a plane and fly to the US...How is more money going to fix that. Well maybe the cost of phone call to say, "no you can not board a plane to the USA."
OK OK… I just watched AL kick Texas butt, checked my mail and someone sent me something and it just triggered a reaction. So hope this gives you some things to say to those folks who thing everything is just fine and we need to keep the OH bama
machine printing money and looking at how we can hold hands with a group of fanatics who will stop at nothing now or a 100 years from now to wipe American off the map jsut like they want do to Israel. The only people the muslims hate more than me and you are the Jews.
And that goes back a few thousand years and you are not ready for that bible lesson tonight. Religious wars tend to last a bit longer than we can deal with and they know it. They can't believe we have lasted as long as we have in the fight against terrorism or what ever the proper term is today from the White house. ( and I use that term loosely)

Immigrants - How Many Are Coming in 2010
I just read where the current rate of immigrants is about 2 per minute so with a bit of math for 2010 we are on schedule to allow 1,030,800 enter the US during the current year.
Now remember when these folks come in they have immediate access to loads of government funds, Unemployment, Social Security, Medical, housing assistance,
education grants and the list goes on.
At a time when the US can not keep our current citizens in jobs. so maybe out of the 1 million or so we only have to find jobs for 40% of them but that is still about 400,000 jobs that they need to keep them off the welfare rolls. We have what 25,000,000 unemployed today and no real indication that things are going to recover quickly. So here we are allowing a 1,000,000 or so new folks to come in that we have to support.
Wake Up Americans Before It Is Too Late.
Immigration was great but it is time we close a few doors. We do not need to keep allowing folks to come into as our President has said the arrogant, hostile, warring country. We have all the folks we need for the next few years. I say shut the gates, build the fence from Texas to Ca and put Canada on notice that they need to help us control the Northern borders or we will have to do something there as well.
No not an isolation country just one that want to keep what we have in tact and live in peaceful,safe and secure country. Provide jobs for our citizens and allow only those into our country who are willing to support our way of life, learn our ways, speak our language and pay theie way.

Can He Change
A year ago, I was privileged to be one of several guests at a dinner with President-elect Barack Obama.
One thing that struck me and others, aside from his courtesy and fluency, was his air of self-confidence. The man who had risen in just four years from state senator to president of the United States seemed sure he could master the job.
The editor of News Week Magazine said, "he is above us all, he is like a god." He was voted more popular than Jesus as # 1 who is the most important person. He has been called "the messiah". The governor of S.C. was such a man, John Edwards was such a man and so was Tiger Woods. There are many more, especially in the congress and senate, male and female.
I wonder if he is as sure now. It seems to me that two assumptions that Obama carried into the White House -- assumptions that were shared by many who hadn't voted for him -- have proved to be unfounded.
The first is that economic distress would lead more Americans to favor big government policies. The second is that Obama's personal characteristics and his repudiation of many of his predecessor's policies would change the minds of America's critics and enemies.
Any doubts that these assumptions were mistaken were dispelled at Christmastime. On Christmas Eve, the Senate passed a massive health care bill that according to every public opinion poll is opposed by most Americans. And on Christmas Day, Nigerian terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab came close to destroying an airliner as it was preparing to land in Detroit.
The unpopularity of the stimulus package, cap-and-trade legislation and the various health care bills probably surprised the congressional Democratic leaders who put them together and the president who, with surprising passivity, indicated he would sign them. After all, weren't these ways to spread the wealth to ordinary people, as Obama put it to Joe the Plumber?
But through most of our history, Americans have preferred policies that enable and help them to amass wealth rather than those that purport to transfer someone else's wealth to them. The biggest outpouring of political sentiment this year came from those who thronged to "tea parties" and denounced increases in the national debt as stirringly as did the first Democratic president, Andrew Jackson, who actually paid it all off.
On foreign policy, Obama imagined that confessing past American sins, announcing the closing of Guantanamo and abandoning enhanced interrogation techniques would make Islamist terrorists think better of the United States. He thought he could induce the leaders of enemy nations to change their ways by referring respectfully to regimes like Iran's and downplaying all talk of human rights abuses.
It turns out that just as the financial crisis and recession did not much change Americans' fundamental attitudes on the balance between government and markets, so emollient talk and confessions of past American sins did not much change the behavior of those who consider America a sworn enemy. The mullahs still want their nuclear bomb.
American officials could stop talking about a "war on terror" and speak instead of "man-caused disasters." But that did not disarm the Islamist terrorist who shot up the recruiting station in Little Rock, Ark., or the Muslim psychiatrist who opened fire at Fort Hood or the pampered Nigerian who tried to bring down Northwest flight 253 over Detroit.
Obama did manage to abandon his statement that the Detroit bomber was an "isolated extremist" and admit that he was in touch with al-Qaida terrorists in Yemen. Yet his administration quickly sent him into the civilian justice system, where he predictably clammed up, and until a reversal yesterday, proclaimed that it would keep sending Guantanamo detainees to Yemen.
We have all experienced the cognitive dissonance that comes when it turns out that the world doesn't work the way we assumed it would. It's hard to give up your assumptions and easier often to believe that unexpected events and results were an aberration from norm that would quickly snap back to what we expected.
Midcourse corrections in these circumstances are often awkward and difficult to execute, the more so when all eyes are on you and any change in direction is the subject of universal comment and adverse criticism.
Getting elected president of the United States must be an enormously confidence-building experience: So many people wanted the job, and you got it. Being president can be more chastening when events don't turn out as you anticipated.
The great presidents -- Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt -- faced events no one expected and in response changed policies and priorities without ever, so far as we know, losing their nerve. Lesser presidents, including Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, did so as well. Will Barack Obama?
Just so we all understand what has happened... In less than one year since OH Bama
became president we have had three terrorists attacks on US soil.... That is right
3 and they are getting bolder as time goes on... I mean one right in the strength of our military... Say what you want this man was a devout muslim, had his contacts quite openly with Yemen Al-Q and then killed 13 + of our finest. The man who shot up the recruiting station in Little Rock same basic story and the kid on the Christmas airplane. I mean people all this since we went soft on the war effort... sorry we are not at war only they are.
